“In Search of the Roots” tends to shed light on the very beginning of what now we call iranian contemporary art, in 60s and 70s. Looking back to search for traces of actions, projects and initiatives whom paved the way for it, we try to understand the complications which lies ahead of such definition, specially in the shadow of what is known/promoted as “Iranian Modern Art” movement.
